Kings Canyon

Hands down Kings Canyon has been my absolute favorite destination thus far on our trip.

After leaving a rainy Yosemite, I was so bummed out when we were driving up the mountain range and could hardly see because of the fog. However, once we were reached a high enough elevation and were above the fog, which we found out were really clouds, it was absolutely gorgeous. It truly looked like we were in an airplane and all you could see were the tops of mountains peaking through the rolling clouds.

Once we arrived, we went straight to the primitive campground to set up camp for the next few nights. We found a site in the middle of Sequoia National forest located between Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. The site was at 7600 feet above sea level on the rocky mountain side. It was gorgeous!

After setting up, we hopped in the car and took a scenic route to Kings Canyon National Park. Stopping ever five minutes to take photos of lizards, birds, and the beautiful mountain range made the trip to and through Kings Canyon very long but totally worth it. I honestly felt as though the drive was a dream because it was just that beautiful.

These antique 1928 gas pumps are the only gas pumps located in Kings Canyon.
Neat stuff!!
