Canyonlands

It was very convenient that Arches and Cannonland National Park were on the same road, only 30 miles away from one another. The very un-convenient feature about Cannonland is that in order to see most of the park, you need a car with four-wheel drive. Since the Corolla could not handle driving the bumpy and steep dirt roads down and through the cannon, we were able to see everything we could in less than a day.

Since it was only five dollars to camp, we set up camp at the most scenic site and hopped in the car to drive around the park. Just because we didn’t have four wheel drive didn’t mean we couldn’t see a lot. Just hiking around was good enough for us and allowed us to see a really neat arch and beautiful overlooks of the canons below.

The next day, we awoke bright and early and set off towards Colorado.
