Mt. St. Helens

From the North Cascades, Jason and I traveled to Seattle, Yakima and Mt Rainier. These made up my favorite places so far on the trip. I took so many photos throughout this time that I ran out of space on my computer. I am sad to write that through the process of uploading the photos to my external hard drive they were deleted. I am currently in the process of investigating a way to recover the photos.

From Mt. Rainier we then traveled South to our last destination in the beautiful state of Washington,
Mt. St. Helens.

On our way to Mt. St. Helens:

Mt. St. Helens:
Local news car that was covering the eruption. The newscaster made it out safely.

After stopping at the visitor's center we followed a very scenic route to the mountain.

Mt. St. Helens

This very long plaque commemorates all of those who have died in the 1980 eruption.

Right after the sun had set the clouds rolled in and the drive away from the mountain gave us very poor visibility. However,  just as we began to see our surroundings, we looked towards the mountain to see the clouds rolling near the base. Immediately we pulled to a turnout so I could take this photo.
