Yosemite

We arrived at Yosemite National Park during the weekend.

I would definitely recommend not doing this because during our two day stay the park was extremely crowded with hundreds, maybe even thousands of tourists. Besides the crowds the park is gorgeous and is a rock climbers sanctuary. I wish I had prepared myself for this park a bit more because it was a bit confusing at first but after a few times of driving around on the one way roads it eventually felt very comfortable.

It would have also been very convenient to have bikes with us because the whole park is filled with hiking and biking paths that lead you to and around the huge mountain range.

We didn’t walk on too much of the paths but we did hike up a dangerously rocky mountain to the beautiful base of Bridalveil falls. The hike starts at the end of the walkway and as you climb straight up the rocky mountain you have to remain very cautious of not slipping and falling because it would be a fatal landing.

After surviving that hike we decided to play it safe for the rest of the day by driving to the famous Tunnel View and Glacier Point for a beautiful panoramic overlook of the whole park.

If it didn’t rain the next day we would have stayed longer in the park but the forecast didn’t look too dry so we drove around again, had some lunch and left in hopes that our next few days spent in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National forest and park would be dry.
